Much of the rhetoric of the Countryside Alliance about "liberty" and the "persecution" of the countryside. However this obscures many of the real issues. While it is true that many in the countryside are poor and persecuted, in many cases those responsible for that state of affairs are the rich, white, men in the charge of the Alliance.
